Community Productions

Pamela Karpelenia is the Founder, President, and Artistic Director of Mosaic Desert Theatre. A performer, playwright, director, producer, educator, and vocal instructor, she is passionate about using the arts to inspire creativity, build confidence, and strengthen community connections.

For more than two decades, Pamela has been involved in the performing arts in a variety of capacities, including performance, directing, music direction, production management, and arts education. She has provided voice instruction to dozens of students and has worked alongside community theatres, educational theatre programs, and local schools to help performers of all ages develop their skills and discover their creative potential. Her commitment to education and mentorship extends beyond the stage.

Throughout her career, Pamela has worked with students, emerging performers, and community members to create opportunities for artistic growth, collaboration, and personal development through the performing arts. Inspired by a belief that theatre should be accessible, engaging, and community-centered, Pamela founded Mosaic Desert Theatre to create meaningful opportunities for audiences and performers alike. Under her leadership, the organization is dedicated to producing original works, reimagined classics, interactive theatrical experiences, educational programming, scholarships, and community outreach initiatives that welcome participants from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
Through Mosaic Desert Theatre, Pamela and the organization’s leadership team are working to expand access to the arts throughout Casa Grande and the surrounding region. Current initiatives include educational workshops, scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors, partnerships with local schools and organizations, and productions designed to bring audiences directly into the storytelling experience. Looking ahead, Mosaic Desert Theatre aims to become a lasting cultural resource for the community by creating opportunities for lifelong involvement in the arts. Whether through performance, education, volunteerism, or audience engagement, the organization seeks to foster creativity, build confidence, encourage collaboration, and ensure that theatre remains accessible to future generations.

Pamela believes that every person has a story worth telling and that theatre has the unique ability to bring people together through shared experiences. Through Mosaic Desert Theatre, she is committed to helping create a vibrant, immersive arts community where individuals can learn, grow, and step into the story.
